Weekend, in review

The weekend plans were squashed by rain and colder temps, but I think we made out pretty well! We had been dog sitting for April, A's sister, so Dottie went home Saturday and we had Noah and April over for dinner that night (we made groundnut stew and had Girl Scout cookies for dessert). We also spent some time outside with friends, huddled around the chiminea. It warmed up mid-Sunday, and so I took a quiet walk around the neighborhood. Quite a few had some small trees come down during the winds on Friday. Sunday ended with spicy Thai food and a much needed catch-up chat. All was well!

-A group of Girl Scouts were selling cookies outside the grocery store this weekend. They were so smart and funny, so I bought a bunch of boxes. All but the caramel cookies went directly into the freezer after everyone left Saturday. We've got to make them last!
-The kegerator lives in it's own corner of the kitchen, and it fits right in. I kind of thought it might lend the place an unwanted "frat house Saturday night" vibe, but it manages to look quite nice.
