In My Bag

I kind of love those photos you sometimes see in magazines or on tumblr/flickr of someone's bag contents. I thought I'd take some snaps of the various things in my bag on a random day. I snapped these on Tuesday. I carry a few different bags, lately it's been this one.
Moleskine notebook, pens, postcard of Eudora Welty, Kindle inside its cover
The photo of Eudora is usually taped inside whatever notebook I'm using at the time. (Sometime I'll write about the soft spot in my heart for Welty.) The Kindle makes any and all waiting feel about 100% more bearable. The pens have glitter tape so that I don't lose them quite as often.

Larabar, floss, hand sanitizer spray, ProAir inhaler, eye drops, Alavert and Wisps
I carry a Larabar for hangry (hungry-angry) attacks. This one's Blueberry Muffin, but my favorite is Gingersnap. The rest is fairly self-explanatory, but I will say that I almost never need my inhaler anymore. Thank you, modern medicine!

iPhone, hand cream, Buddhist prayer beads
This is the same hand cream A's grandmother uses, which I love. It smells like actual lavender rather than the odd medicinal lavender scent you sometimes find. The prayer beads are from a wonderful professor and friend I met while interning for a summer in Taiwan. I sometimes wear them as a bracelet or just carry them in my bag. This photo is yet another example of me still not quite getting the hang of white balance on my new gadget.
Wallet, coin purse, Kleenex, sunglasses
The coin purse was made by a college friend of mine, it's held up well over the past few years. Not sure where the wallet is from, I'm normally pretty tough on them but this one has yet to fall apart. Probably Target or TJ Maxx.
Perfume roller ball, two lipsticks
The perfume is Chloe, it's light and floral without any sweet or powdery notes. Lovely for spring/summer. The two lipsticks are current favorites: Tarte's Exposed lip stain. They call these "matte" but it's really just not shiny or glossy. Still pretty moisturizing. And the Poppy King for J.Crew lipstick. It's a pretty red, even though the J.Crew website would have you believe it's a devil's brew of orange and magenta.

There you have it! I guess it being spread out through a few photos makes it feel like a lot but it's all pretty compact and easy to carry.
